Heading in to Sunday night’s awards ceremony, there was plenty of talk surround a couple of films and a handful of performances. Headlining all the Oscar buzz was the chit-chat surrounding the Best Picture category, where Avatar and The Hurt Locker were hotly contested among the press and fans alike. I saw eight of the ten Best Picture nominees at least once, and a couple of them twice or more. I truly enjoyed Precious and A Serious Man, but knew that neither would take home the statue. I was personally pleased to see The Hurt Locker win the Best Picture Oscar.
